Product Description:

The CSB200 serves as an affordable AIS Class ‘B’ Transponder, tailored for small commercial boats, fishing boats, and leisure markets. It complies with the Class ‘B’ standard, enabling vessels exempt from Class ‘A’ unit installation to opt for an AIS Transponder voluntarily. This compact, standalone unit, once linked to an external VHF antenna and GPS antenna, transmits the vessel’s position and data while receiving information from other AIS vessels, shore stations, and navigational aids within VHF range. Users initially program the unit using the provided PC program, entering details such as the vessel’s MMSI number, name, call sign, dimensions, and vessel type. Once programmed, the CSB200 automatically sends and receives AIS data.

The CSB200 is compatible with various PC navigation programs and chart plotters that can accept NMEA 0183 AIS data sentences. It boasts special features like automatic transmission of the vessel’s position, speed, and heading to nearby vessels, monitoring other AIS vessels’ positions, speed, and heading, plotting their progress on a PC or Chart Plotter, and a transmitter off function for power conservation or covert operations. The applications of the CSB200 are ideal for small commercial boats, fishing boats, and leisure markets. It aligns with the Class ‘B’ international standard, allowing vessels not mandated to install Class ‘A’ transponders to voluntarily equip themselves with an AIS transponder.
